As a parent, the wide variety of toothbrushes, toothpastes and other oral hygiene products at your local drug store can be pretty overwhelming. Often times, it can be tricky on how to decide which toothpaste is best for your child with so many choices staring you in the face.

Below are a few tips to  keep in mind to help pick the best toothpaste for your children!

Look for a toothpaste that contains fluoride. A pea size amount of toothpaste containing fluoride can help strengthen your child’s teeth. Just be sure they aren’t swallowing the toothpaste, it should be spit out.

Professional approval.
No matter what toothpaste you choose for your child, it’s important to make sure it’s approved by the American Dental Association (ADA). The ADA seal  of approval will be located on the box. The ADA seal of approval ensures the toothpaste you’ve selected has been tested to make sure it doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients for you or your child’s mouth.

Ask your child.
What better way to get your child to brush than having them be apart of the toothpaste selection process? There are tons of fun looking toothbrushes and flavored toothpastes that may get them excited about getting infront of the sink and brushing two times a day! This could certainly make this task easier!
