The fall festivals have been taking place here on Long Island all throughout September. But with school starting back up again, you and your kids may have been too busy to attend one of them. If you didn’t get a chance to go to one last month, there’s even more fall festivals during October that will be a fun fright for your whole family.
Spooky Fest – Rockville Centre
This 7 day scare-fest is perfect for the whole family. Attractions include a haunted maze of zombies and haunted woods. There’s even non-spooky attractions for the little ones in your life including a fun walk in the woods, friendly monsters, and a fun arts and crafts area.
Time: October 14, 20-22, 27-29
Admission: $10 (non-scary attractions) $15 (scary & non-scary attractions)
Fall Festival – Islip
This is the towns Chamber Of Commerce’s first annual fall festival. There will be live music and entertainment, a kids costume parade, face punting, and even a pie eating contest.
Time: October 28
Great Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular Sail – Babylon
The first 50 people who bring in their carved pumpkins will get to see them lit up at sea, sailing around the Belmont Lake. But if you don’t make it there in time, don’t worry. There will still be crafts, trick-or-treating, and balloon twisting.
Time: October 28
Oktoberfest – Riverhead
Garden of Eve Organic Farm hosts a fall festival with a twist. It will include Bluegrass music in a farm setting, as well as craft beer for adults and the ‘Family Fun Fields’ for the children. The field has a pedal kart track, maze, animals, and so much more.
Time: October 29
Admission: $15 Adults
